Hazard identification

HAZID Training

Hazard identification (HAZID) is the first step of the risk assessment process to identify and assess/suggest appropriate prevention, mitigation, and control measures for hazards present within a plant or facility.

The HAZID review will also evaluate the adequacy of safeguards available and propose additional safeguards where deficiencies are identified. The effectiveness of the HAZID approach is highly dependent upon the expertise of the personnel involved in the HAZID review.

This course will give learners an overview of the HAZID methodology process, key roles expected of the participants, and commonly employed reporting methods. This course’s content is learner-centric, emphasizing practical knowledge sharing by experienced instructors facilitating numerous HAZID workshops.

More Courses

Process Safety Management (PSM) training is designed for those with a strong interest in the vital and expanding field of process safety. This field is crucial across various energy sources and ensures safety, compliance, and best practices.

Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) is a systematic approach used to examine the effects on the process system and the facility or plant as a whole in the event of a potential deviation from the intended process design and operation, ensuring thorough risk assessment.

Hazard Identification (HAZID) is the first step in the risk assessment process. It identifies foreseeable hazards in a plant or facility and outlines the prevention, control, and mitigation safeguards to manage these risks.

QRA training course is for those with a technical background interested in understanding different aspects of QRA. It allows learners to fully grasp and evaluate the risks from foreseeable Major Accident Hazards (MAH) present in a facility.

The ePSM e-learning program, accessible via LMS, provides a comprehensive understanding of Process Safety Management, emphasizing key elements critical for effective implementation and maintenance

The BRM training program focuses on the hands-on application of Barrier Management using the Bowtiie method. This risk management tool helps visualise the risk profile of MAHs so that various organisational stakeholders can better understand them.

ALARP training covers understanding and applying risk concepts, identifying control options, deciding on risk reduction measures, and grasping “tolerability of risk” and “As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)” principles.

10 professional development programs: Safety Management Systems and Risk Management. Safety Management Systems are in PSM, Occupational Health Safety, Construction, Fire, and Industrial Safety. Risk Management covers safety, technology, and sustainability.

Eight certifications in process safety and risk management: PSM, P&ID, HAZID, HAZOP, ALARP, BRM with Bowties, Energy Transition, Intro to Onshore/Offshore Facilities, and Essential Software for Safety Studies.
